NEC Keystone, Inc. has successfully finished a multitude of Earthwork and Excavation projects including backfilling numerous cover collapse / sinkhole features. These projects range from small depressions requiring 1-2 yards of material all the way to back filling a cover collapse feature near the Suncoast Parkway in 2002 which took 15,000 cubic yards of material to stabilize.
One of our most notable successes was the large cover collapse which swallowed a car at the Bordeaux Village Condominiums. NEC Keystone responded with an emergency mobilization due to the inclement weather which could have further destabilized the feature and caused extreme property damage and cost. The cover collapse feature was filled with rock and sand to the exact specifications of the engineer.
NEC Keystone has a record of prompt emergency response, often within 2 hours, for emergency stabilization and backfill of sinkhole features.
